The Laboratory for Safe and Secure Systems (LaS³) is a joint research network of the East Bavarian Technical Universities of Regensburg and Amberg-Weiden. LaS³ sees itself as a mediator between science and application. The objectives of LaS³ are:

Integrating application-oriented research with industry requirements

Promoting and involving students in industry-related research projects at an early stage

Introducing young scientists to the working methods of application-oriented research

Designing safe and software-intensive systems

Data security and functional safety through and with software

Methodical development of secure software

Performing architecture analyses on software-intensive systems

Developing optimal software architecture in automotive embedded systems in terms of performance, functional safety, data security, and availability

Expansion of research in the field of digitalization

Participation in topics related to IT security in the application areas of automation technology in the fields of energy technology, industrial automation, and automotive engineering

Promotion of digitalization cooperation between industry and science in Bavaria
